What We Believe

Reform Paganism is an anti-orthodoxic branch of the Great Tree of Paganism on which blossom many distinct traditions, each with their own evolving formulations of belief aspiring to ineffable Truth. Reform Pagans enjoy freedom of conscience, and with that freedom come the responsibilities of practicing self-criticism and intellectual humility.

Although Reform Pagans need not share any specific set of beliefs, we do share a profound appreciation of the limitations of human sensation and cognition and an openminded approach to our individual beliefs that is at once rooted in the lore we have inherited from humanity’s collective ancestors and growing through scientific experimentation, rational inquiry, inspired intuition, and personal experience.

Some Reform Pagans draw additional inspiration from our Fifteen Theses, which have played an important role in the Pagan Reformation since its beginning.
